Adorable Photo Of Puppy Falling Asleep While Getting Out Of Bed Goes Viral

A precious image of a sleeping puppy named Bandit has charmed viewers after it went viral on the Reddit forum “Animals Being Derps” where it received more than 25,000 votes.

“My puppy fell back asleep while getting out of his bed,” read the title of the post, which was shared by Reddit user u/yarntist.

In the photo, the sleepy light brown pup seemed to have tipped the gray dog bed over as it tried to climb out. Clearly unfazed, Bandit did not wake up and continued to snooze as the bed remained in an upright 90 degrees position.

Redditors shared their delight over a now-viral image showing a puppy that fell asleep when it tried to get out of its bed. Above, a stock image of a sleeping puppy.

According to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Pet Health Insurance, adult dogs can sleep between 12 and 14 hours a day while puppies may sleep up to 20 hours or more each day.

“Dogs require more sleep than we do since they nod off for shorter periods of time,” the piece stated. “Those additional hours help them get the deep sleep they need to feel refreshed and energized.”

The organization also pointed out that dogs can fall asleep anywhere, but they may wake up if they hear or sense something.

The adorable image was a hit among commenters and one even offered creative edits to the photo.

The Redditor edited the photo to make it appear like the puppy was a pirate. A hat and a pirate were placed on the dog while the bed looked like it was floating on the open seas.

Other Redditors expressed their delight with the image, some noting that they felt they could relate.

“It’s hard to be a puppy,” commented a Redditor.

“The struggle is real baby,” wrote another. “I do that every day. I just simply refuse to leave the sanctity of my pillows [and] comfort.”

A viewer wrote that the felt “so seen,” while another suggested Bandit had “a long day being cute.”

One shared that they found their own puppy fell asleep while it was half off the couch.

“The new face of ‘I hate Mondays,” a comment read.
