Days after declaring she was feeling her “best self” after significant weight loss, Australian Idol winner Casey Donovan has shared a new transformation photo.
The beloved singer – who was thrust into the spotlight aged 16 as the youngest winner of Australian Idol – shared a snap of her new look on Instagram.
“New hair, who dis?” Donovan captioned the snap, which showed her rocking shorter locks and donning a pair of tight leather-look leggings.

Donovan paid tribute to her hairdresser in the post, saying “thank you for always taking amazing care of me and my hair”.
Fans were quick to flood the comments section of Donovan’s post with love over her “amazing” transformation.
“Not that you didn’t look amazing before, but damn gurl, you look amazing!!” one wrote.
“Gorgeous as ever Casey, and we curly girls can’t live without our curly cutters,” another added.
“You really are looking amazing, you’re beautiful always have thought that,” another fan wrote.
Earlier in November, Donovan had shared that she now weighs under 100kg “for the first time in my adult life”.
The star wrote that she was “feeling as healthy as ever”.
“Summer is one of my favorite seasons and I’m very much looking forward to it this year!” she shared.
Donovan, whose post was part of a paid partnership, also said she was “looking and feeling my best self” thanks to nutrition company Jenny Craig.
“If there’s one thing I’ve loved about my Jenny Craig journey so far, it’s that it takes the second-guessing out of weight loss,” she wrote.
“There’s no counting, no questions and no confusion, just delicious, simple meals delivered straight to my door.”
At her heaviest, Donovan weighed 136kg.
But the singer followed in the footsteps of Rebel Wilson by losing weight in a bid to start a family.
“When I was sitting at the heavier scale of 136 kgs, it scared me. I didn’t know what I was doing and I didn’t know how to help myself,” Donovan told the Daily Telegraph earlier this year.
“I would like to start a family one day and just get my head and my heart and my body into the right frame of mind to be able to do that.”
Fans have embraced Donovan’s transformation.
“I am so happy for you – especially if you’re happy too,” one fan told her.
“I will miss seeing the other version of Casey Donovan because with her on stage being awesome I felt it was great for women of all sizes to be recognized for talent rather than body.
“BUT I realize health is important and feeling good about your body is important too, so if this makes you happy- be happy.”
