A one-year-old girl captured royal attention after dressing up as Her Majesty and her corgis.
A one-year-old girl caught the eye of royalty after donning an adorable double-breasted coat with a matching hat, a white wig, and pearls around her neck.
Jalayne Sutherland was photographed by her mother, Katelyn Sutherland, standing next to her family’s corgis. The Ohio mother sent the photo to the queen on a whim and said she did not expect to receive a response. Sun reports.
She told Her Majesty that the biggest inspiration for the outfit was the fact that dogs were her daughter’s best friends.
“We wanted to do something that they could all fit into together. We are definitely fans of the royal family and we really admire how the queen walks by faith, “he said.
Katelyn said her daughter’s costume was met with a lot of praise when she took her trick-or-treating on Halloween this year.
She added: “As we walked on Halloween we received many, many compliments, but my favorite reactions were when people bowed to her or did the royal salute and said, ‘Your Majesty!'”
The letter, from the Queen’s Lady awaiting Hon Marry Morrison, read: “The Queen wishes you to write to her and thank you for your letter and the photograph that you carefully enclosed.
Her Majesty thought it very kind of her to write to her, and the Queen was delighted to see the photograph of her daughter, Jalayne, in her splendid attire.
“Her Majesty hopes you all have a very Merry Christmas, and I am enclosing a little information about the Royal Pets, which Jalayne would like to have.”
