On the fifth and final day, the 162cm Temba Bavuma was working patiently trying to hold a draw.

But as his teammates fell, the South African vice captain was joined in the middle by rookie Marco Jansen.

The giant bowler on the left arm is 203 cm, according to Sun.

It was a comical sight as the pair met in the middle.

Television camera operators even struggled to get them in the same shot, as they chatted at the end of the overs.

Pakistan’s Mohammad Irfan is widely accepted as the tallest first-class cricketer of all time, with a bowler standing at 215cm.

But many witty fans took to social media Thursday during the Bavuma-Jansen partnership, with some hilarious memes shared on Twitter.

The angle of the camera as they walked away to have lunch together highlighted the vast difference in height.

But after the break, Jansen fell behind for 13 before two more fast terrains Kagiso Rabada and Lungi Ngidi got ducks, closing out a 113-run win for India.

Bavuma finished undefeated with 35 of 80 balls.
