Former NRL star Frank Pritchard fights for his life due to complications from COVID-19

Retired Canterbury, Penrith, Parramatta and New Zealand Test star Frank Pritchard is in the hospital on New Years Eve fighting for his life.

Nine.com.au reported late Friday that the 38-year-old was on life support as a result of complications from COVID-19.

He is believed to have a collapsed lung and other major health problems as a result of the virus.

“We are all praying for him to get better and be with his family again,” player manager Mario Tartak told News Corp.

Meanwhile, News Corp reports that rugby league immortal Andrew Johns has survived a COVID scare after being admitted to Wagga Wagga hospital. Johns, a Herald columnist, has since returned to Sydney and is reportedly in good health.
