“In memory of my beautiful daughter Sarah Harding (Hardman) this Christmas. I appreciate the moments we had together before and during her illness,” Hardman wrote.

Hardman, who rose to fame in the 1970s band Sunfighter, reportedly tried to reconnect with his daughter after she rose to stardom alongside fellow bandmates Cheryl Tweedy, Kimberley Walsh, Nadine Coyle and Nicola Roberts.
“I’ve tried so many times to make contact, even before she got famous,” Hardman said in 2009, according to Sun.
“I wrote to her, e-mailed her, phoned, asked others to intercede on my behalf and yet she refuses to see me. I once showed up at her London home only to have her boyfriend and management turn me down. “.
Harding changed his last name in 2011 and said his father was “dead to me” after his decision to leave his mother for a younger woman.
