Hilarious video shows dog jumping like a kangaroo when walking

This cocker spaniel gets mistaken for a kangaroo when he walks – because he’s so excited he repeatedly bounces on the road.

Adorable pooch Rupert is so fired up for walks with owners Molly Lethbridge and Joe Wilson, 24, that the one-year-old is heading to Devon.

Hilarious footage shows Rupert jumping two feet off the ground as conductor Molly, 24, walks behind him holding his head.

Another video shows the cocker spaniel bouncing up and down as his furiously wagging tail propels him forward as water tech Joe runs towards him.

Rupert the dog is so excited for his walks he can’t help but jump as his owners Molly and Joe walk behind holding his leash

Molly said: “Rupert started jumping on his very first walk out of excitement and he lifted himself about two feet off the ground.

“When he first did it we thought it was hilarious, but we’ve gotten so used to it, we often wonder why people laugh at us until we realize it’s such an unusual thing for a dog. It makes so many people laugh and we have never seen anyone ignore it, it really makes people happy.

“We had comments that he looked like a kangaroo, which is funny because we always called him Ru (Roo) instead of Rupert.

“Other people have compared him to Tigger or a frog. He only jumps on a leash at the very beginning of his walk because he’s so excited and I don’t think we were walking fast enough for him.”
