The two had embarked on a royal trip to Cheshire and from the photos taken on that day, Meghan and the Queen seemed delighted to be in each other’s company as they shared a few giggles together.
There was also one moment on the trip that showed the Queen’s feelings towards Meghan when she offered to share her blanket with her as they returned to the car.
Meghan later told Oprah that the moment “made me think of my grandmother.”

Another notable moment of their bond was during the annual Trooping the Colour, where royals line-up on the balcony of Buckingham Palace.
During her appearances on the iconic balcony, Meghan was given central spots close to the Queen with the 2018 event highlighting Her Majesty and the Duchess’ connection as they happily chatting away.
A royal source said Meghan and the Queen’s bond grew through their sense of humour.

“It’s that warm side of her that has made Meghan feel so at ease.”
For the love of dogs
The Queen and Meghan both have a soft spot for a canine companion with Her Majesty’s famous corgis and the Duchess’ two dogs, Guy and Pula.
Her Majesty was actually on dog sitting duty the day before Meghan and Harry’s wedding after a photograph spotted rescue dog Guy riding with the Queen.
Harry even commented on how good Meghan has been with the Queen’s corgis.
