Prince Louis wasn’t the only royal who needed tending to Kate Middleton during the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
Prince Louis may have stolen the show with his cheeky behavior during the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations, but he wasn’t the only royal who needed tending to Kate Middleton.
Heartwarming footage of the Duchess of Cambridge comforting a restless Mia Tindall has emerged from the Platinum Jubilee.
A grainy video shows Kate 40, soothing eight-year-old Mia after she clambered over her seat for a cuddle.
Mia – the eldest of Zara and Mike Tindall’s three children – appeared to become flustered during the Platinum Pageant over the weekend.
The adorable video shows Kate stroking Mia’s arm and whispering in her ear as she tries to help the young royal calm down.
Princess Charlotte helped out her mother by rubbing Mia’s back.
Mia, who is 22nd in line to the throne, attended the event with her parents and sister Lena, three, and one-year-old brother Lucas.
Prince William and Kate earlier acknowledged the wave of commentary around Louis’ behavior at the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in an Instagram post.
Four-year-old Louis proved to be the main attraction on several occasions over the weekend, repeatedly pulling comical faces and even exaggeratedly shushing his mother as they watched the celebrations unfold.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge took to Twitter on Monday to praise the efforts of everyone involved in the event – with a little nod to the Louis furore.
“What a fantastic weekend of celebrations. Seeing people across the nation coming together with family, friends and loved ones has been extremely special,” they wrote.
“Thank you to everyone who turned out to show their gratitude to The Queen and her inspiring 70 years of leadership. From the crowds on the Mall to communities hosting street parties up and down the country, we hope you had a weekend to remember.
“We all had an incredible time, especially Louis.”
