Kellie Harrington’s dog shocked wedding guests with smelly farts

Kellie Harrington has revealed her dogs made a big impression on her guests at her wedding – and not always in a good way.

Speaking on Off The Ball about her recent nuptials, the Olympic champion said one of the dogs kept farting throughout the day, stinking up the room.

Chatting to Phil Egan, Kellie said: “One of them was farting throughout the whole thing. All I could hear was ‘the smell of him! Oh my God!'”

Despite the bad smell, Kellie was thrilled to have her “fur babies” with her on the day.

“It wouldn’t be a special day if we didn’t have our little fur babies with us. They are part of the family,” said Kellie.

Kellie’s new wife Mandy Loughlin has previously spoken about the pets, saying: “We have a little French Bulldog, Nidge, who’s three and a Staffy, Maisie, she’s 12. They’re just gorgeous. They’re absolutely babies. They don’ t know they’re dogs. They think they’re human beings.”

Kellie and Mandy tied the knot last week in Dublin. Sharing a picture of the couple with their pet dogs on Twitter, Kellie wrote: “In a world where ye can be anything, just be yourself. 8-4-2022”

The sports star has been in a relationship with Mandy since 2009, with the pair meeting each other through boxing.

Not only that, Kellie revealed this week that she has bought her first home.

The couple purchased a property in Fairview, a much sought-after area close to Clontarf in north Dublin.

With the World Championships around the corner, Kellie was asked if she has had time to fully celebrate her recent wedding and the purchase of her new home.

“To be honest the way I look at it is in 2024 I’m going to be retired. I’m going to be 34. I’ll have the rest of my life to enjoy everything,” said Kellie.

The boxing star had spoken earlier this year of her struggles to get a mortgage.

Speaking to the Irish Independent in January Kellie said: “I am trying to get a mortgage at the moment but it’s proving nearly impossible.”

“It’s nearly made impossible for young people to get a foot on that property ladder. I think I’m nearly sorted but it’s been hard,” she said.
