Renowned Hollywood manager Angela “Angie” Kukawski was found dead this week, and police were investigating her boyfriend for murder.
Angela “Angie” Kukawski, Hollywood’s longtime representative of the stars, has died. She was 55 years old.
The Los Angeles Police Department issued a statement Wednesday stating that the department’s Valley Office Homicide division is investigating Kukawski’s death as a murder. She had been reported missing on December 22 in suburban Sherman Oaks, California. She was later discovered dead inside her vehicle, which was parked on the street in the Simi Valley area.
Before Kukawski was identified as the victim, a local Angelino News report said a woman believed to be in her fifties was allegedly found stabbed to death in the trunk of the vehicle.
Police identified Kukawski’s boyfriend, Jason Barker, 49, as a suspect, and he was arrested, according to an LAPD press release issued Wednesday.
Police allege Barker killed the mother of five inside her Sherman Oaks home, placed her in the trunk of the car and drove to Simi Valley, where she parked it.
Barker has been booked into the Van Nuys Jail and the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office has filed murder charges against him.
The prosecutor’s office told Fox News that Barker was charged with two counts of murder and torture.
They also insisted on their complaint filed by Fox News that Barker murdered Kukawski “unlawfully and with the intent to cause cruel and extreme pain and suffering for the purpose of revenge, extortion, persuasion, and for a sadistic purpose, inflicting great bodily injury.” .
Inmate records indicate that Barker is being held on $ 3 million bond.
News of Kukawski’s death permeated the entertainment industry where he found his calling. He worked at Boulevard Management in Woodland Hills as a business manager for Nicki Minaj, Kanye West, the Kardashians and even represented the Tupac Shakur estate, according to Variety.
The Kardashian-Jenner clan released a statement to TMZ on Wednesday, saying that Kukawski was “truly the best.”
“She cared about each one of us and made things happen that were impossible,” the outlet reads.
“We will miss her very much and send our sincere condolences to her family and loved ones during this difficult time.”
Boulevard’s Todd Bozick said in a statement to Variety: “We are saddened and heartbroken over the loss of our colleague, Angie Kukawski. Angie was a wonderful and kind person, and everyone who knew her will miss her very much. Our condolences to all of Angie’s friends and family. “
Representatives for the Kardashians, West and Minaj did not immediately respond to Fox News’ request for comment.
