Princess Eugenie’s son August wears a ‘beautiful’ dress in invisible royal christening photo

One photo showed Princess Eugenie and baby August during their christening at All Saints’ Royal Chapel in Windsor. This was a shared ceremony as Zara Tindall’s new baby, Lucas, was baptized that same day.

Lucas’ and August’s baptism took place on November 21, 2021, exactly 181 years after the birth of Princess Victoria, Queen Victoria, and Prince Albert’s first child.

Princess Victoria was the first to wear the famous Honiton lace christening gown.

The daughter of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert was baptized in 1841 at Buckingham Palace.

After the ceremony, Queen Victoria noted in her diary: “Alberto and I agreed that everything had turned out wonderfully and in a very dignified way.”

The dress was removed after Lady Louise Mountbatten-Windsor’s christening in 2005.

After that, all the royal babies have been baptized with a replica.

The design of the dress was inspired by Queen Victoria’s wedding dress.

Made from white silk and a handmade lace cape, the dress has been worn by 62 royal babies.

For her son’s christening in November, Princess Eugenie wore a beige silk gown that she paired with an elegant cream-colored headband.

The dress, which is from designer ZIMMERMANN, featured a colorful embroidered pattern around the neck.

Aliane’s cashmere embroidered linen canvas dress is still available to buy online for £ 1,050.

Her husband Jack Brooksbank wore a navy blue suit and a light blue tie.
