Storm Corrie: Four bird eggs rescued after winds uproot a tree

A group of bird eggs were rescued when a tree collapsed on a Buckinghamshire road.

Spring Coppice Lane up to the first turning towards Great Hampden had been closed for almost 30 minutes while services waited for tree surgeons to enter the scene.

Four bird eggs were also rescued after falling out of the tree, according to Thames Valley Police.

Storm Corrie hit the UK on January 30th and 31st, causing problems in Buckinghamshire and Berkshire.

Another example of Storm Corrie’s power was at Kings Road, Reading.

Roadblocks on Thames Water had fallen into the street, into a busy bus lane.

Thames Water was made aware of the problem and sent the repair team to the scene of the accident.
