THE GIRL WHO SINGING is still a young girl after seven hurdles starts, but she hasn’t fared too badly in three appearances for Yard Sean Conway in the second half of last year. She has joined Fergal O’Brien in the meantime and there should be races to be won with her from a BHA mark of 85, especially now moving to two miles and three stages.

WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!

LOVE SEND Seemed a good prospect on his winning hurdles debut at Leicester earlier this month, finding much later despite refusing to settle early. It was a fair effort to land the booty from nearly two lengths and she is likely to progress further as she gains experience. It’ll be harder under a penalty, but she’s supposed to rise to the task on the way to bigger and better things.

PROBLEM BEAN showed a great attitude to get back on the winning streak on his last outing at Wetherby, continuing well past the last to get the verdict by a length. He performs well on heavy terrain and the way he trained last time around suggests that the extra emphasis on endurance here will play on his strengths. Another bold offer is expected from just 3 pounds heavier in weights.

A FEW STARS produced a career-best result after a seven-month hiatus when he held second at Fontwell last time around, watching the most likely winner for a long time before heading for the run-in. He’s only been beaten by a length yet and probably would have won if he had ridden a little more patiently. Kind of a frequent traveler, he only weighs 2 pounds heavier in the weights here and it seems like a good opportunity for him to gain some compensation with a visor replacing the blinders he usually wears.

GRAND TURINA finally ended their long losing streak with a comfortable win at Lingfield three weeks ago, claiming close to secure the verdict by a neck (value for more). It was a big step in the right direction and a BHA rating of 113 is still fair judged on the balance of her form. After all, she reached under similar marks earlier in her career and the fine form of Yard Venetia Williams (seven winners out of the last 22 riders) is also a cause for optimism.

READ ME returned to form when he was third in his last outing at Lingfield, gradually weakening by two strikeouts after leading for much of the race. He’s 3 pounds lighter in weights this time around and his freestyle could lend itself to this track if he picks up a good pace. Heavy terrain will also not be a problem and it could have its say if applying a balaclava for the first time has the desired effect.

TECHNOLOGY draws a lot of pedigree appeal, being of Yeats and a half-sister to Cheltenham Gold Cup winner Bobs Worth. Bought € 75,000 at the age of three, he clearly looks the part too, so it will be interesting to see if the market speaks for him in a bumper where those with previous experience under rules set a fair standard.
