FX on Hulu’s high-profile TV series based on the critically acclaimed comic “Y: The Last Man” isn’t returning for a second season anywhere.

FX canceled the series after only one season, and the show then looked for a new home. However, creator Eliza Clark has now revealed on social media that no other network or streamer picked it up, so the show is officially dead.

The series was adapted from the acclaimed comic book of the same name created by Brian K. Vaughan and Pia Guerra and is set in a post-apocalyptic world after all mammals carrying a Y chromosome have been wiped out, with the exception of a young man named Yorick Brown ( Ben Schnetzer) and his pet monkey.

Olivia Thirlby, Ashley Romans, Amber Tamblyn, Elliot Fletcher, and Diane Lane co-starred in the first season, which garnered mixed reviews from critics.
