Today beats Sunrise, Brain Eisteddfod struggles for 10.

just days after Sunrise declared it had won 2022, it has suffered a defeat by the opposition.

Today won the breakfast battle yesterday at 202,000 metro viewers, eclipsing Sunrise on 187,000, which only just pipped ABC’s NewsBreakfast pulled 117,000 / 65,000 (182,000 in total).

The good news continued for Nine in primetime with The Block 757,000 meter viewers well ahead of 7:30 (536,000), MKR (470,000), Hard Quiz (463,000) and Shaun Micallef’s Brain Eisteddfod struggling at just 225,000.

Later Shaun Micallef’s Mad as Hell (508,000), After the Verdict (367,000), Martin Clunes: Islands of the Pacific (260,000), aftertaste (175,000) and ghosts (151,000).

Nine network won Wednesday with 30.6%, then Seven 27.2%, ABC 18.7%, 10 14.5% and SBS 9.1%.

Nine News (849,000 / 826,000) was best for Nine. A Current Affair won at 672,000 then hotseat (397,000 / 240,000). Footy Classified was 109,000 across the network.

Seven News was #1 at 878,000 / 837,000. TheChase led its slot at 493,000 / 315,000 with Home&Away or 448,000. Air Crash Investigations was 113,000.

abcnews drew 623,000. The Drum (205,000) and win the week (147,000) followed.

The Project pulled 342,000 / 229,000 for ABC. 10 News First was 286,000 / 187,000 then bull (90,000).

On SBS it was Tony Robinson’s History of Britain (146,000), Secret Scotland (139,000), SBS World News (119,000 / 102,000) and The Stranger (79,000).

Peppa Pig pounced on multichannels at 116,000.
